Type of data breach: 7.5 million data records accessible due to security breach
The US company Adobe offers various software products in the creative environment via the Creative Cloud. Among the best known are Photoshop and Premiere. On October 19, a security researcher from the USA used a database to obtain around 7.5 million records of users of the Creative Cloud. Adobe fixed the security vulnerability on the same day. At that time, external access without authentication had already been possible for a week. Adobe announced that no sensitive data such as credit card or account information was visible.
