The Greek data protection authority has imposed a fine of EUR 200 000 on the telecommunications operator 'OTE' a Greek company. Customers of the company filed a complaint because they received unsolicited calls from third party companies promoting products and services. The Greek Data Protection Authority found violations of Article 25 as well as Article 5 and subsequently levied the fine.
