Computer programs have failed in the citizens' offices of the city of Magdeburg. As a result, data of citizens who visited the citizens' offices in Magdeburg in the period from September 23 to 30 could not be processed. This means that a large number of applications made during this period must be re-applied for. According to the information provided, no data was passed on to third parties, but the data protection commissioner of the state of Saxony-Anhalt was nevertheless informed as a precaution.
