Data such as mobile phone numbers, addresses and birthdays of almost 90,000 customers of the Priceless Specials bonus programme have surfaced on the Internet. During further investigations, previously unknown persons were also able to find a list of unencrypted credit card numbers. On Tuesday, Mastercard blamed a "third-party provider" for the leak. The bonus programme platform was subsequently closed by Mastercard.

Serious data protection breach, as credit card data is particularly sensitive. It is advisable to exchange your credit card as a precaution, even if you are unsure whether you are actually affected.
