Twitter may have shared user information with advertisers

Type of data breach: data shared with advertisers without consent

Twitter users' data may have been shared with advertisers on the service without their knowledge since May 2018. The shared user data included country code information as well as whether and when the ad was viewed. According to a statement from Twitter, the data breach has already been fixed on 05 August.
