Type of data breach: use of a cookie banner that does not comply with data protection regulations

Shortly after the judgment of the European Court of Justice the Spanish regulator imposes the first fine of €30,000 for the use of a cookie banner that is inadequate or does not comply with data protection requirements. The Spanish company Vueling offers the following on its website no management system or a cookie configuration display that allows the user to adjust or delete cookies. In order to facilitate the selection of cookies, the banner should include a button that allows users to reject or enable all cookies, or allow only individual cookies. Currently, the only thing you can do on the Vueling website is to agree to all cookies and read about them. According to the Spanish regulatory authority, this is not sufficient.

Country: Spain
